Reed switch motor

Reed switch motor – a brushless DC (BLDC) motor

Description:  This brushless direct current (BLDC) motor uses a reed switch. Inside the reed switch are two metal contacts. When the permanent magnet comes near the reed switch the contacts are magnetized and the circuit provides electricity to the electromagnet. The electromagnet repels the closest permanent magnet and the rotor (with the other permanent magnets glued on it) starts to turn. The inertia of the rotor turning continues to make the motor run as long as you have pressed the pushbutton or when the batteries wear out.
